Volume
Real-time alerts when a small-cap stock shows unusual volume and price momentum.
The Volume Scanner watches live trades and fires when a ticker suddenly picks up speed — heavy 1-minute volume, a sharp price move, or a news-driven gap. It is TrendVision’s core momentum feed for small and mid-cap stocks.

Categories / filters
Premium custom scanners can tighten the Volume Scanner with filters such as:
| Filter | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Min / max price | Keep alerts in your trading range |
| Min / max market cap | Focus on nano, small, or mid caps |
| Min RVol | Require stronger relative volume (e.g. 3× or 5×) |
| Min volume / max float | Liquidity and supply constraints |
| Min gap % | Require a bigger gap from prior close |
| Min daily alerts | Only stocks already “hot” today (alert #3+) |
| Exclude OTC / CN-based | Skip over-the-counter or China-domiciled names |
| Country allow / block | Filter by country of incorporation |
| Alert flags | Require Known runner, Potential squeeze, Zero borrow, or Recent IPO |
| Catalyst gate | Only alert when fresh news or SEC filings are present |
| Halt alerts | Toggle halt/resume notifications on volume alerts |
Presets include Small caps, High momentum, Biotech, and Large cap.
In the All-in-One feed, volume alerts are the “anchor” lines — passed through whole with no extra guild filters.
When it runs
- Extended market hours: 4:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday (excluding US market holidays)
- Does not run on weekends
Why traders use it
- Catch early momentum on small caps before the move is obvious on a daily chart.
- Alert numbering (#1, #2, …) shows when a name is getting hotter through the session.
- Context lines (news, SEC, 0 borrow, squeeze badges) help you decide if the volume is catalyst-driven or technical.
- Pair with Whales and News when a ticker starts running.

Notes
- Focused on small and mid-cap momentum — large caps are filtered out of All-in-One and most paths
- Rel Vol here is per-minute vs. historical average, not session volume vs. daily average
- A stock can fire multiple alerts in one session (numbered #1, #2, …) as the move continues
- Whale prints on the same feed are handled separately — see Whale Scanner
